This morning as I sat down to read the recap of the show I missed yesterday, I thought how much easier this is for me than when I used to have to email kariyaki and say "What happened yesterday?" and sometimes she would answer and say "I don't know. I'll ask Abby." and then we'd eventually all find out. How great are the two of you, and Kathy, for doing these recaps? Ok, end of personal note.

Yeah, and it just keeps getting worse.
Nice recapping for yesterday, dude. Though admittedly, I *cough* liked Mia's hair and outfit *cough* Hee. Editing in a "yay!" for the Dawn mention. It can't be ignored anymore. The people at AMC spend their free time watching Buffy. Though, the rape vibe I could do without, on either show. SIGH. |

I am so sick and tired of the writers writing Kendall as if she's some whacky teenager. Susan Lucci was 19 playing 16 back in 1970 when the show first started. Erica was raped on her 14th birthday and had Kendall. That makes Kendall 34 years old. Yesterday when she told Petey to think of her as a big sister, I thought to myself "who are they trying to fool"? Is it horrible writing, or just horrible acting? I'm still trying to figure it out.

Well, this topic is supposed to be about this site's writing, not AMC's. Hmm. Maybe I need to make the topic title more self-explanatory.
At any rate, I'll briefly put my two cents in about Kendall's immaturity before I suggest we take the discussion to the General Discussion. No matter how old Kendall is, she's not a mature person. Look at Erica. She's exactly the same way and she's obviously older than her 30s. Moving on. Abby... poor, poor Abby. After watching today's episode, you have my sympathies. I get another Kendall episode to recap tomorrow and you get the "teens" today. I'm so, so sorry. |
