I miss a lot by not actually getting to watch the show, but I do agree that Kendall and Trey are cute together. And they each needed someone to consider "family." They feel abandoned or betrayed by their parents, but with each other, they have enough in common to feel like they belong together.

Frank, Smoan, Mia, Jake...are they still on? Maybe the four of them should band together to do something interesting. Drive around in a van and solve mysteries or something. Happy could be their dog, Jake could be the suave know-it-all, Frank could be goofy and awkward, and....hmm, neither one of the girls could be the smart one who puts all the clues together. I guess they'd just drive around in the desert, from haunted ghost town to closed amusement park.

What the hell was that film-flashback? To steal a coincidentally appropriate quote, what the Frank?

On a different note, I've recently started TiVo-ing and watching the show again (not to say anything against the recaps; I just missed seeing some of the fashion nightmares, cute sibling interactions, etc.) and I'm noticing that the audio sounds really strange. I first noticed it when Jake and Liza were talking last week. I don't know a lot about studio audio stuff, but it sounds a bit echo-y, like maybe they're farther from the mikes than they should be. Is anyone else hearing that, or have I finally been driven mad by all the speakers in our living room?

I think it's been a while since I've seen a soap character do something so low down and nasty as to shove her own sister out a window. And Marcy Walker is doing an amazing job looking guilty and distraught. Brava!

It's good to hear about the impending return of the recaps. Now, will we see just the back of the recaps' sleeves for a week before we actually get them?

I just have to post somewhere about how completely disgusted I was by the picnic scene this week. WTF? It does not make sense to go on a picnic at that time of the morning, before a formal adoption procedure. The writing also sucked beyond the telling of it. So so bad.
